Short Term Foster Care

As a great proportion of our rehoming focuses on rehoming abroad, short term fostering is needed for those animals who are reserved, already have homes to go to, but who need a place to stay until their date of travel.

If you are unable to have an animal permanently, (perhaps you travel lots?), this is a wonderful way to be able to help.

A foster dog, puppy cat or kitten can be a wonderful companion who needs little except a comfy place to live and a little bit of love. Traveling abroad is a huge change for an animal, and they do far better if they first have a little time in a home environment to relax and gain confidence.

As many of our animals come from shelters or the street, before travel we need to keep a close watch on the animal’s health and how she or he interacts in the real world. The information we get from a short term foster carer is hugely important and helps ensure the animal will go into the correct type of family and will arrive to his or new home happy and well adjusted.
